At the Arizona Senate Republican debate, incumbent Arizona Senator John McCain stated that he was “proud” to have blocked unemployment benefits for millions of Americans, then went onto to call for more tax breaks for American corporations such as Raytheon, who he said builds “wonderful missiles.”

Time for people to get up off their butt and get back to work even if you have to take a pay cut.

Are you claiming unemployed people who lose their jobs due to corporate American greed are "lazy?' Evidence please.
at 16:12 on July 19th, 2010
No, I,m claiming that the 9 out of 10 unemployed for the past 2 years and who are wanting this extension on unemployment, are greedy in that they want me to pay their way till the same job they have been accustomed too returns. GET A JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where is your evidence for your claim?
BTW, do you mind paying the way for billion dollar corporations who get your tax dollars for free to subsidize their businesses?

They didn't lose their job because of corporate American greed, it is because of government greed. The anti-corporate sentiment is just left-wing propaganda. If the market were set free the amount of time they were unemployed would be relatively short, you can look at the numbers. Under Reagan, this was very true.

I agree that many Americans are overpaid. If there was an adjustment, like giving you a pay cut, think of all the unemployed who could come back to work. What a great idea.

Outsource business to countries where cheap and more prone- to- exploitation labour is available, stop manufacturing consumer goods because Chinese products are cheaper.Increase trade volume with China and see the fantastic results:you have Dollar Stores, you will be having Dime Stores,Nickle Stores and Penny Stores.Create Jobs for Chinese,Indians and do away with unemployment benefits to millions of Americans.Chessboard will be in China, pawns in US.Greatest game!
