John Michael Farren: Fmr Bush Lawyer Charged in Attempted Murder

John Michael Farren, a former President Bush lawyer has been charged today in Connecticut with the attempted murder of his wife, whom he attacked with a long flashlight.

Police received a panic alarm from Farren's home late on Wednesday night and they arrived to find his wife Mary Farren with a broken jaw, facial fractures and lacerations to her face and her back of her head.

Mary Farren had filed for divorce earlier this week; her attorney described the attack as 'brutal'.

John Michael Farren is being held on a $2 million bond and is scheduled to appear in court on January 21st.
