John Travolta's Son Dies in Bahamas of an apparent Seizure. The incident report stated that he was found by a caretaker, in the bathroom, early this morning. The report further stated that he had hit himself on the head. sources are unsure if the seizure occurred before or after the 16 year old was hit on the head. An autopsy will be performed on Monday in the Bahamas. The Travolta's have not made a public statement.

The teenage son of actor John Travolta died suddenly on Friday during a family vacation in the Bahamas, according to the family's lawyer.

Jett Travolta, 16, suffered a seizure at his family's vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island, attorney Michael Ossi said.

Attempts were made to revive him, but he died at the scene, Ossi said.

The family's attorney, Michael Ossi, confirmed the tragic news, telling Reuters the young man suffered a fatal seizure at the Travolta clan's home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island.

Efforts were made to revive Jett, who had a history of seizures, but he died at the scene.

The teenager was the couple's oldest child. They also have a daughter, Ella Blue, born in 2000.

It's so sad, thanks for posting. John Travolta has been a favorite of mine since my youth. I know this is the second time he loses a loved one to disease.

Family friend and Tampa-based attorney Michael McDermott told the Ocala Star-Banner on Friday that Travolta was "broken up" and noted that "Kelly's very quiet."

"Just say a prayer for them," he added. "That's all you can do at this point."

McDermott said that one of Travolta's close associates was making funeral arrangements in Ocala, Florida, where Travolta has a home.

Unbelievable!

In Greece, where I live, and on New Years Eve at night, I opened the t.v. and Hairspray was on and as I was watching it I was thinking of what an amazing actor John Travolta is.

Also, I was thinking about Grease and how many years had passed since I had seen it. Even more amazing: On the same channel, right after Hairspray, they DID play Grease!

And, of course, we will never forget Saturday Night Fever and his incredible dancing. Do people know that all these moves were completely made up by him- not choreographed- and that they were all cut on the final editing of the movie? John Travolta got into a fight with the producers and the director and edited the whole movie by himself and put all the dancing scenes back in. They kept telling him that all these scenes were too much and ridiculous and that the movie would flop. He took charge, edited all of it behind their back and released it. There is an amazing BBC documentary that I had seen in London that has the whole story. Can anybody imagine SNF without the dance grooves?!?!?!? Like pizza with no cheese.

What happened today is what should never happen. A child dying. And these parents that have it all, now, they have nothing at all. The grief... unbearable.

There are no words to say for this tragedy.

We all hope and wish they find the strength to move on and focus on their daughter, maybe have some more kids and eventually keep on with their lives.

I am so very sorry about the tragic loss of Jett Travolta. As a mother and grandmother I can not even begin to imagine the pain that John and Kelly are going through. Please let them know that they are in our prayers.

My heart is heavy for the Travolta family.
No one should have to bury his or her child. NEVER!
We all grew up being entertained by John Travolta
and it saddens me that he and Kelly and their family
have to be faced with something so tragic and shocking.

John and Kelly adored their children and have done
a great job at raising them and keeping them out of
the limelight.

Our prayers are with the family and they should be
left alone to mourn their loss without any of the
papparazi trying to make money off of this.
Let them have their time alone with family and their
close friends to help them get through this tragedy.
