NP Rank:
Join the Chamomile Tea Party!
In response to the low level of political discourse in this country both within and outside of Washington, I've created the Chamomile Tea Party. Our slogan: "The Chamomile Tea Party: Bringing calm to American political discourse."
Tired of the rancor between the political left and right, the Chamomile Tea Party was formed to be a calming antidote to those Americans who would rather fight than move forward. When party politics, character assassination, and rhetoric take precedence over the good of the country it's time to say enough is enough.
The Chamomile Tea Party is not promoting a middle-of-the-road political position. Rather, it seeks to promote useful dialogue between people of differing opinions. Racist epitaphs, obstructionist Congressional behavior, and popular personalities who incite to divide us are hurting the American people and weakening our international reputation. Neither liberals nor conservatives, Democrats nor Republicans are innocent angels.
The Chamomile Tea Party has issued 11 posters that comment on the current rhetoric and issues that both Democrats and Republicans are facing both within their parties and in talking with each other. The posters are based on old propaganda posters from World War II, appropriated for the present political climate. High resolution images of these posters are free.
If you support the aims of the Chamomile Tea Party, friend us on Facebook and download our posters from Flickr. Most importantly, pass the word and let your Congresspeople know how you feel.

Unlike the Dems and Repubs, you don't have to sign up. Just passing on the "platform" of the Chamomile Tea Party is all it takes: respectful dialogue with people of differing persuasions and outlooks. These efforts are to get us moving and dealing with the important issues the country faces rather than just sniping at each other.

Brilliant! I love the appropriated posters and certainly hope that those on both sides of the aisle can see this counter-movement as a true "remedy" to modern-day politics-as-usual!

You meant to say "racial EPITHETS"....And if you mean to truly calm this country's nerves, don't let your poster slogans lean in either direction. They're both FASCIST. We need to unite, that is utterly certain, and if you MEAN this, are not just trying to get those pesky right-populist movements to lay down and die, you will redraft your posters to talk about issues upon which all actually DO agree. The filibustering Republican-Fascists are giving the Wall-Street-First Democratic-Fascists political cover for not delivering a damn thing, keeping us in murderous military adventures and for continuing to flout the Constitution, only more avidly than the last administration. If you mean this honorably, you will heed me. Our country is GONE, and we won't get it back unless we unite for REAL.

When did everyone become so mean and disrespectful to each other?
