After to secretly confessing that he was complicit in the demise of Natalee Holloway, he is considered "persona non grata" in Aruba; there is a bounty on his head in the Netherlands, and now he has infested Thailand.

Yes, that is what Van der Sloot did to Dutch crime reporter, Peter de Vries. A year ago after being interviewed by de Vries on Dutch television, Joran realized he was being set up right before the world wide revealing videos of him confessing to Natalee Holloway's death under secret cameras.
Full glass of wine in the face of a professional reporter. De Vries must have been thinking, "This boy needs a lesson." He's been on Joran's trail ever since.
It was reported last week that de Vries again secretly recorded Joran in Bangkok engaging Thai women for sex trade to the Netherlands. He discussed how they would get identification and work permits. He told them they'd have to "...shake your ass." "You dance 10 hours a day".
In an interview with Telegraaf de Vries stated, "The pictures show how little respect this 21-year-old has for the lives of others. The fact that he goes into the trafficking of women after the disappearance of Natalee is typical of him… Making preparations for people smuggling is a crime. It could land him into big problems in Thailand."
Before de Vries aired his latest bombshell last Sunday night on Dutch TV, Joran allegedly contacted de Vries and said "they were all lies", and threatened him. He said he would "teach him a lesson....at no cost."
One day in Bangkok, the next on the run somewhere along the Thailand island borders.
According to Nancy Grace, Joran was found on the Thai coastal city of Ko Samui and arrested late this week. Currently, there have been no further reports released that have resulted in Van der Sloot's arrest.
Unfortunately, there may be some loopholes for Van der Sloot.
Interpol has not been hard on Thailand in regards the problem of human trafficking, forced prostitution and child exploitation. As a result, the Thai government is not hard on sex trafficking. It has been noted that some of government officials "dabble" into it once in awhile. It is a billion dollar industry...it counts for more revenue than the distribution of drugs.
There are reports of local government officials who are complicit in trafficking. (2006 US Department of State Human Rights Report.) Since the September 2006 military coup, Thai government efforts to combat trafficking remain uncertain.
The Thai Government was placed in Tier 2 in the 2007 U.S. Department of State’s Trafficking in Persons Report for not fully complying with the Trafficking Victims Protection Act’s minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking but making significant efforts to do so.

Since Joran did not seem to be "coercing" or forcing these young women to come with him, it's possible he could get away with another heinous crime.
He learned from someone to use the right words, talk the smart game--make it so they were coming "willingly". That itself may get him out of this mess.
Hopefully the Thai government will use some sense and see that this scum is arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of Thai law.
If we can get a "round two" with OJ and seeing him go to prison for a different crime, I see it fitting for Joran as well.

Not welcome on Aruba and a bounty on his head in the Netherlands, where do you get this nonsense from?
Joran was on Aruba just a few weeks ago and there is no such thing as a bounty on his head in the Netherlands, the only problem Joran has there is mass hysteria fueled by de Vries.
No this was just de Vries scoring a few cheap points on the back of an ethically challenged and not too bright kid, big man Peter.
Anyway this will blow over as well and Joran is probably waiting for that with a cocktail in his hand on a beach of Koh Samui or nearby Malaysia.

You may want to look at todays news. Van Der Sloot goen on Fox News and admits he sold Natalee for 10K, his dad bought off police officers, and the other two knew about the situtaion and were paid hush money. Ven der sloot provided Fox with a tape of conversations with bis father and gave Fox the right to speak directly to his lawyer. Of course the next day he says he lied again. Not a great guy to defend my friend.

More nonsense. Look at the kid's face, he's obviously developmentally disabled which is why he ended up in the media firestorm. He couldn't flip burgers at BK, never mind sell chicks.
Natelee was wild and reckless and not properly raised by anyone's standards. She died as a result of her own recklessness.

Of course Aruba wants us to think he's not welcome.. LOL.. they still want our tourist money. Aruba has a VERY corrupt government, and police. They probably know what happened to Natalee, and may have been involved to some copacity.
The American government needs to make it illegal for American citizens to travel to Aruba, unless they already own land there. (not including time share). The only way to get things done, is to hurt the purse.
The Islamabad government exercized this technique, when Dutch film maker produced a film that was Anti-Quran, in nature. Along with demanding the Dutch government to obide with thier laws concerning the matter, they DEMANDED the Dutch government to procecute the film maker. They also urged the United Nation's council to inforce thier demands. Last, but not least, they demanded a ban on the import of Danish products. Here is a link, read it for yourself. We need to be acting on this, in, as strong, a manner, as did Islamabad, concerning the Quran.. The Quran is a book, that reresents a belief. Natalee Holoway is an Innocent American Teenager, who represents how much we care for ALL AMERICANS.
GET PISSED, DON'T TRAVEL TO ARUBA, DEMAND YOUR PUBLIC OFFICIALS TO MAKE OUR GOVERNMENT DO SOMETHING. Hell, if we can't bring justice for our own innocent youths.. then why are we in someone elses country, claiming to restore and protect thier rights, woman, and children???
I doubt the soldiers that have died over there, would want Natalee to go without justice.

Joran van der Sloot murdered Natalie, there is no doubt in my mind. I think it is likely his father conspired with him to conceal the crime.

Stop and think of the Duke Lacrosse players or the Chandra Levy case. How many people would have guessed that Gary Conduit would not only be cleared many years later by a confession of an immigrant serial killer waiting in the bushes, but that years earlier he had quietly settled out of court with media outlets that he sued for libel? Yet almost everyone had him nailed dead to right as the killer based on innuendo.
In fact Jan and his family was cleared by a civil court, though a sum of money they were awarded in compensation was overturned by a higher court. Yet he was vindicated on the facts.
Aruba is not as crime free as the travel agent would like you to believe. They have high unemployment, drug trafficking, and gang wars. Youth crime is on the rise, though the government doesnt release it's crime statistics.
They've had a few horrific violent murders reported by the local media which simply never make official records or global media.
I do not believe the 3 kids had anything to do with her death.
This girl was drunk beyond reason and went off without her peers.
Imagine an attractive girl sitting drunk, alone, on a public beach in San Juan or Haiti?(no jokes please)Who would expect her to be OK the next day, or would look to blame a drunken teen who was the last one seen with her? Crime free Aruba is a myth perpetuated for the sake of tourism.
He panicked the next day, being only 17, and began to spin tales when confronted. His demeanor is too calm for a violent criminal.
He looks like he is mentally challenged as well.
I think he left her on the beach as he said he did, and she was later raped and/or murdered by a local man or local men.
At this point his life is ruined and he will never be normal, if he ever was.
3 governments, the US, Aruba and the Netherlands, were under political pressure to nail this teenager (especially Aruba, which lost tourist revenue from all this)and couldnt find any evidence, just a lot of innuendo and drama from the mom. This kid isn't the Zodiac killer. He looked like a dumb kid who hung around the tourist traps to get laid. He would have tripped himself up and given something away of substance on one of the interviews.
The undercover interview played on 20/20 and E was a joke. The kid clearly made up a story to impress the dagger-slashed faced, previously jailed, drug trafficking hustler who was getting Joran high all day and is probably one of the few people in the world seemingly willing to trust the kid with employment(albeit a drug connection).
He told 2 or 3 different stories to the guy, and none of them panned out. Again, despite many hours of videotaped intimate 'confessions' while the kid is high, nothing of substance emerges.
Lifetime has taken the mom's story and put it on TV. They are the only production company who would produce a film like this. A lot of their films are about men killing their wives, or moms being heroines for Turing in their sons for criminal behaviour, or women killing their kids.
That and films about portly chicks being socially vindicated.
Natalie's mom's book was not about the facts, rather it was a long vindictive primordial shriek of blood lust against the last person who saw her baby alive.
Mom's do this, it's nature, but usually they dont get a media outlet to dramatize the vendetta fiction.
I can't respond to posters, since I am honoring the Pope's call to avoid texting others for Lent. It's just my opinion, anyway.
