Joran Van Der Sloot Peru Murder Update: Caught in Chile
Joran Van Der Sloot Has Reportedly Been Caught in Chile and is in Custody For the Murder of Stephany Tatiana Flores Ramirez in a Peru Hotel Room
Previously there were unconfirmed reports that Jordan Van Der Sloot had committed suicide at the border between Peru and Chile, but Interpol has now confirmed that the 22-year-old has been captured in Chile and is now in police custody. Police in Chile confirmed that Van Der Sloot did cross the border in to their country a few days ago.
The main suspect in the suspected death of Natalee Holloway in 2005, Van Der Sloot was on the run for the suspected killing of 21-year-old Stephany Flores Ramirez. An autopsy on the young woman is underway and police in Peru have not yet stated how she died. Her body was found face down and there were abrasions on her face and body. Although she was found clothed, there were 'obvious signs of trauma' and some sources say that she was stabbed to death.
Stephany's father, Ricardo Flores told CNN en Espanol:
"We have all the evidence to show that the killer is this man,"
He said that his daughter's car was found about 50 blocks from the hotel and that there were date rape pills inside.
Last Friday a hotel worker spotted Van Der Sloot and Stephany Flores in a casino in Lima. About four hours later, Van Der Sloot left alone.
"We have an interview with a worker at the hotel who says she saw this foreigner with the victim enter his room," said Guardia.
It is almost five years to the day that 18-year-old Natalee Holloway went missing in Aruba and although her body has never been found, Van Der Sloot has always been the main suspect in the case.
Now he will most likely be extradited to Peru.

This guy is guilty and is likely a drug dealer moving product to Aruba from Peru. I hope he confesses to Natalie Holloway's death so her family can have closure. I hope he's punished to the fullest extent of the law in Peru. No diplomatic immunity down there.

Relieved the arrogant evil s.o.b. was captured. Now may he start suffering for the pain he caused the two victims and their families and may he rot in prison!

AT LAST!! it is too bad that the Dutch Authorities had to allow ANOTHER young woman to die needlessly because the refused to acknowledge that Van der Sloot was a sociopath. The guilt killed his father, and if there is Karma, he too, will suffer in a Peruvian jail for MANY years to come. There will be no diplomatic immunity for the likes of HIM. There will be no hue and cry for HIS release; NO support for his freedom. On the contrary,my guess is that most Dutch nationals will be glad to see the matter done with & KNOW for certain Van der Sloot IS guilty as Hell & that he has NO redeeming value as a human being . I cannot picture many in Aruba working hard to defend this slob and over priviiged psychopath, who implicated so many others and forced his father to early death & disgrace, without so much as a backward glance. The world is better off without Joran Van Der Sloot in it- whether he is in prision for the rest of his life, or whether Peru still has the death penalty.

and your guess is right. It has already been in the Dutch newspapers. our government has no interest in this case. we also have no treaties regarding prisoner exchange. If he gets convicted he will stay jailed in peru.

No, it's good he was found alive. His father can't help him legally in Peru and the prison's don't even have toilets! He's right where he belongs.

His father died earlier this year. Now there is no one who can help him create an alibi! He needs to come clean! Glad he's caught. Wonder if there are more victims out there? Could he be a serial killer?
