I don't think having a rose in the photo and having a birthday cake kills the budget or the LTTE leader's aspiration to bring freedom and rights to Tamils in Sri Lanka. From the worldwide confidence shown on LTTE, it seems Tamils would be happy to sponsor relatively inexpensive luxuries, a photo here and a birthday cake there, for their leader.

From Tamils friends telling me stories of their homeland, there are many times the Tamils civilians have shown goodwill to LTTE cadets by giving them a home cooked meal for putting their own lives at line for fighting for Tamils’ freedom and rights in Sri Lanka.

While there are many starving and losing houses in USA, President Obama is living relatively a good life in the Whitehouse. The re-decorating budget for the Whitehouse is close to a million. Would not that money have been better spent on care programs for people who lost their jobs? Leaders do get few extras here and there for their hard work and personal sacrifices; few extra does not necessarily make them bad people.

I am pretty sure the Sri Lankan President is enjoying far better luxuries and a fat swiss bank account at the cost of many lives in Sri Lanka and at the government corruption money.

What did your non-Dumeel  friends tell you? Do you have any in your social circle ? Obviously civilians would show  "good will" if LTTE terrorists raid their villages with most modern weapons even US Marines of Delta Forces would kill to have. All those weapons are bought by illegal ways with the money extorted from your friends by LTTE terrorists through threats and intimidation.

Great news as atleast now the world should know the double standards of the this babaric So called Tamil saviour and its Tamil Diaspora. What were they done these years as recuiting innocent Tamil peoplefor there babric organization. Even they did not  spare the children as ordering above 15 yrs should join the LTTE and what was his children doing ? they have all the luxuries life and other kids died to give roses to his children.

These were taken from prabhakarans albums and well what sort of a feeling can gives for the children, Parents who sent or taken forcefully to join LTTE. What they really faught for ?

Still what he does, his family is well safe and still the innocent has to safe gaurd him, Well it is up to the humanbeings who have a brains to think this double way of treat children and people of North given there dreams or it is this babric leader fulfill his dreams keeping these innocents life, feelings and there souls.

What else would you expect a father to do for his children?  I cannot fathom the stupidity of the people claiming a luxurious life of a man reduced to living as a refuge in his own country. Are Tamils to be denied rights to celebrate birthdays along with all our other rights?

How pathetic to bemoan a small joy in a man fighting for his rights.  What else is he supposed to do? Allow his children to attend schools as second class citizens? Or provide more ammunition for the SL government to target those same schools claiming LTTE were in attendance?

I cannot fathom the stupidity of the people believing SL government's drivel. How can any human, regardless of race, colour, religious or ethinic backgrounds, support the mass killings of other humans? How can you rejoice in it? How can you live with yourselves knowing that the crops you're eating contains the blood of innocent civilians?

Claiming that Tamil civilians are fleeing from LTTE is ludicrous. The people are fleeing from the unbearable conditions that the SL army has instigated in that area with numerous shellings and bombings. What choice do they have, except to flee that area? 

I cannot believe that there are people supporting the SL government. How is it possible to be that heartless? How can you look at yourself in the mirror and sleep at night with a clear conscience?

The LTTE conscripts child soldiers. It's a fact. Go to the UNICEF website and check it out. Now, don’t start ranting that the UNICEF is pro-SL Government and all that nonsense.

One does not need to be a fan of Mr. Rajapaksa to call your super-hero Prabhakaran a megalomaniac. He is, and he does shoot at the people who try to flee the no-fire zone. Any discerning individual would not fail to understand the realities of a conflict that has fed on hate, greed and vengeance for over three decades. And Prabhakaran has committed more crimes against the Tamil people than all the Sinhala leaders put together.

In case the LTTE had been successful in declaring an independent Tamil state in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Sri Lanka, would the “diaspora” leave their comfortable lives abroad to join him in his Eelam state? I doubt. Since you are so far away from home, away from the conflict, it is easy to jump into conclusions. You look at Sri Lanka though painted glasses. It’s a glass painted by your beloved Prabhakaran. Come here and try to live with the conflict. Each day filled with bullets, deaths, bombs, and pain of losing someone you love.

Whether we are Tamil, Sinhala, Muslim or any other ethnic group living in this country, we have all paid dearly for the whims of the power hungry maniacs – a.k.a. Prabhakaran and the Sinhala leaders.
