Judicial Watch sues Obama over backdoor amnesty
If you have wondered how a President could sell out his country for the sake of illegal aliens then look no further than Barack Obama. He will show you how it's done!
Many have questioned the logic as well as the economic soundness of President Obama’s proposed “Dream Act” which will allow millions of immigration law violators to attain rights to work and remain in the country. An executive order was used to ratify this act which bypassed the US Congress who has already defeated this measure twice now. In typical fashion when Obama cannot get his agenda legally passed he will use appointees, federal agencies, or executive privilege to pass laws that the public does not want or that he knows Congress will veto.
No advantages for Americans here
There are many negative aspects of this law to consider. First, we are allowing people who would be prosecuted in a court of law as legal participants in our society. This fact enrages many Latinos who went to the trouble and expense to obtain legal status. There is also the question of national security involved here as those who have illegally entered the US have not been processed for background checks on criminal or terrorist activities. Drug cartel members could clearly gain access into the US by taking advantage of this ill advised law.
The economic considerations are obvious. Those who have been allowed to attain legal work status will occupy positions that could be awarded to legal American citizens seeking work in an era of persistently high unemployment or they will cause legal citizens to lose jobs because employers know that the illegal will work for less and even below minimum wage for the chance to make money. This also stands in the way of Americans being able to obtain employment.
States where Democrats buy Hispanic vote in exchange for deficits
Several states are already extending free student tuition or reduced rate education to illegal alien students with the costs being passed onto the US taxpayer. Recently Governor Jerry Brown signed a 40 million dollar illegal student assistance enactment into law even though California was in a 50 billion dollar deficit at the time. The numbers don’t make sense and government policy is only adding to a growing deficit in accommodating illegal alien students at a time when our economy is faltering.
The inevitable lawsuit
Judicial Watch is a whistle blower organization that monitors court and legislative process on Capitol Hill. The watchdog group is filing a violation of US Constitution lawsuit against the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security. Why? In submitting requests for documents that pertain to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals filed in June there has been no response by the DOJ. This in the same spirit that AG Eric Holder has used to stonewall Congress, Darrel Issa, and Charles Grassley over Fast and Furious.
Compromising national security no problem
Thanks to revelations from Judicial Watch, we know that Obama policy will allow illegal aliens to avoid being deported by ICE operations while being allowed to work in the US. This lawsuit will also address evidence that was slated for disclosure to Judicial Watch by June 22 as a FOIA request. These records pertain to the DHS decision to utilize prosecutorial discretion concerning those illegal aliens who entered the US as children. Items sequestered within the Office of Legal Council were targeted for release, but there was no response by the DHS.
Stonewalling haven't we been there before?
The DOJ has admitted to being in receipt of an FOIA request for and has not replied just as Janet Napolitano’s Department of Homeland Security has stonewalled inquiries for President Obama’s backdoor amnesty documents. If this legislation were completely legal and above board, why would executive privilege be used to push the measure through without the overview of Congress?
Even though Congress has rejected earlier amnesty measures, the President has approved to permit illegals who arrived in the US before the age of 16 and are still here under the age of 30 to have special approval to work here. Obviously this is a ploy by President Obama to get the Latino vote for the upcoming election in November. Regardless of how this will affect conditions within the country, President Obama could care less. He simply wants to remain in power.
Using executive order to bypass Congressional veto
It seems that the Obama administration is invoking an illegal unilateral executive directive that strives to suppress general knowledge dealing with the specifics of Obama’s backdoor amnesty in order to quell public outcry over this controversial legal measure.
Governor Jan Brewer sticks to her guns
In opposition to this plan that has been rammed through by President Obama’s executive order, Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona will be seeing that the most stringent immigration laws being enforced in the US remain that way. The legislation passed by her state will insure that Identification such as drivers licenses and other benefits provided by Obama’s backdoor amnesty plan will not be granted by Arizona.
Placing hardship on America to gain votes oh yes Mister President
Although 13,000 illegal aliens awaited assistance in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Santa Clara to name a few cities, seeking non profit help in filing their papers for work permits, these people will still not be allowed to gain legal citizenship or legal residency. Over 1 million student aged illegal immigrants will be allowed to enter this program as well. Applicants reportedly came from not only Mexico but such nations as Chile, Fiji, and several Central American nations such as El Salvador.
One thing is clear both Obama’s DOJ and Janet Napolitano’s DHS are remiss in their duties of protecting the rights of US citizens and allowing illegal individuals to compete for some of the same benefits as citizens such as education. The rights of citizens should be seen to first and foremost. GOP candidate, Mitt Romney does not support Obama’s Dream Act either and has voiced opposition to it.
