Important ally and political party, JUI (F), has decided to quit the government after a minister of the party was sacked by the Prime Minister, Yousaf Raza Gillani, on Monday.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Chief of Jamat Ulema e Islam, JUI (F), announced the decision after an emergency meeting of the parliamentary committee held in Islamabad. Talking to media, Maulana said that Pakistan People’s Party was no more following the policy of reconciliation for which they had been sacrificing since long. Hamid Saeed Kazmi, minister of religious affairs and Azam Swati, ministry of Science and Technology, from their portfolios following a dispute involving hajj scandal.
Khurshid Shah and Asif Ahmed Ali have been given additional charge of ministry of Religious Affairs and ministry of Science and Technology respectively.
