Julian Assange: Hero for American democracy

Many conservative leaders have been attacking Julian Assange, including threatening to murder him. This is entirely inconsistent with what conservatives have been saying for decades about defending the taxpayer and about holding to scrutiny the government that is supposed to be serving the people.

Julian Assange has done the taxpayer a great service of informing him what was being done at his expense. He exposed corrupt and fraudulent practices that were being done by the government and informed the people of these wrongful practices. By logic of conservatism, he is a hero and should be treated as a hero.

Conservatives should be supporting Julian Assange as the precise embodiment of what they have preached for decades.

Julian Assange has done something very difficult and very dangerous to assist American democracy and to help the public know what the government that is meant to be serving them has been doing with their money and their trust.

Whether you are a conservative, a liberal, a moderate, or a libertarian: Julian Assange has done you a service, and he has done your country a service. It is only rightful that he be repaid with honor rather than death or imprisonment.
