Karen Cunagin Sypher Initiated Sex By Whispering to Pitino and Then Unzipping His Pants, the Basketball Coach Said in Court on Wednesday

Karen Cunagin Sypher is accused of demanding millions of dollars from Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino, and on Wednesday Pitino told the jury that he had met Sypher at a restaurant on July 31 2003 when he went there after going golfing.

He said that he bought Sypher a drink and the  two talked until after the restaurant closed for the night.

Rick Pitino is married, but Sypher is charged with extortion due to asking for money, a house and cars in return for staying quiet about the sexual encounter. She has pleaded not guilty and said Pitino sexually assaulted her.

This is the first time that Pitino has talked publicly about his meeting with Sypher, but other witnesses have come forward saying that they noticed Sypher was acting really persistent towards Pitino that night.

Another key witness in the trial is Pitino's driver Vinnie Tatum. He was there until the restaurant closed, but said that he never heard the two having sex, even though he was about 15 feet away behind a half-brick wall.

A former professional golfer, Margaret Cameron, also described about Sypher was really persistent when it came to Pitino and was just not going to stop hounding him.

Karen Cunagin Sypher is currently going through a divorce from her husband Tim Sypher; the couple  have a five-year-old daughter together.

The trial continues.
