the governor was shown the letter of support by the five independent M.L.As.

The independents who helped BJP garner the much needed support to form the government are Shivaraj Thangadi, the BJP rebel who won from Kanakagiri, JD(S) rebel emerging victorious from Hosadurga, Goolihatti Shekhar, and three Congress rebels Narendra Swamy (Malavalli), Venkataramanappa (Pavagada) and D Sudhakar (Hiriyur).

Earlier BJ.P emerged as the single largest party only three short of majority. B.J.P won 110 seats in A 224 seat assembly.Pro congress media has forecasted congress win in exit polls. congress stood at second place with 80 seats and J.D.S could manage only 28 seats.

The people of karnataka voted for stability and great betrayal by J.D.S.

this will be the first B.J.P Government in south for B.J.P on its own.

B.J.P emerges as single largest party winning 110 seats 3 short of majority,in a 224 seat assembly.

the exit polls by pro congress media were proved wrong by the people of Karnataka which has shown congress as winner.

the congress with 80 seats was second and J.D.S.

Got only 28 seats.

this is first time B.J.P will form government in south on its own.
