IS KATIE HOLMES PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE . . .

When I saw Katie Holmes, looking like a cat that swallowed a canary, in her first public appearance after blind-siding her husband with a divorce petition that changes where he lives, publicly humiliates him, and seeks to take his parenting rights away, and I thought, there's something wrong with that girl . . .

Even if you're all out of love, there should be some remorse, some sadness, at the end of a dream; at the disruption of your child's access to loved ones; at inflicting crushing devastation on another human being . . .  But Katie looks like she couldn't be prouder. 

Perhaps Katie's demeanor is the product of the passive aggression that forms in people who don't speak up for themselves, and then come to hate the people who can't figure out what they really want . . .

As for her ambitious legal maneuver, her attorneys can't expect to succeed in making New York the venue for the Holmes/Cruise divorce.  They probably filed in New York to prevent Tom Cruise from filing for divorce, and custody of his child, in California, as a response to Katie leaving the marital home, and taking their child to New York.

Katie's legal team has forced Tom Cruise to fight the proceedings in New York, before he can do anything in California.  He might not even be allowed to ask for access to his child, because courts often treat participation as consenting to jurisdiction.  Consequently, Tom Cruise might have to limit his participation to challenging the New York Court's right to assume jurisdiction over a marriage in which neither party resided in New York.
