THE NATIONAL Bureau of Investigation of Finland have concluded their forensic autopsies and have released the bodies of the victims to their families. In all, eleven died, including the assassin, Matti Saari, 22, the only person named so far.
Police have revealed that the age range of the victims was between 20 and 50 (1957 - 1988). Eight were female and one is believed to have been that of the teacher invigilating the exam at the time.
Analyses of samples collected at the crime scene are still underway.
Authorities have made individual arrangements with each family concerning the release of the bodies from its custody.
Some 200 shots were fired inside the school building, finds information obtained so far by police.
All victims died of gunshot wounds. The victims, all adults, were born between 1957 and 1988.
