British celebrity chef Keith Floyd has died of heart attack yesterday at his home in Dorset, England. Today, it turned out that Floyd died just hours after eating lunch to celebrate the clearance of his bowel cancer. Moreover, he was set to watch a documentary about his life achievements that was showcased on one of the channels later that day, but lost consciousness, prompting his partner to call paramedics, but to no avail.

Keith was one of U.K.'s most recognizable chefs with a distinct flair and speaking style. He starred in many cooking television shows and wrote many cooking guides. Floyd was not always a cook: he changed careers many times, having worked as a journalist, a dishwasher, and army officer. He was also married four times. Floyd had health concerns and alcohol addiction problems throughout his life. He was 65.

Four failed marriages, bankruptcy and a battle with alcohol did little to dent the popularity of Floyd, whose programs are still shown around the world, including on the BBC’s “Saturday Kitchen.”
He was a communicator and a personality and a brilliant television performer.
