Keith Olbermann Fired
His contract with MSNBC ended abrubptly yesterday, although he still had 2 years and $30 Million left on his contract. Who better to counter balance the wacky Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity? I would actually consider tuning into Fox News if they hired Keith Olbermann, because I know Keith Olbermann will tell it like it is, without the fear of being fired. We need Keith Olberman's style of honesty in Journalism.

Keith Olbermann, one of the best known cable news personalities on either side of the political spectrum, was abruptly fired yesterday by MSNBC.

Olbermann, in the middle of a four-year $30 million deal set to last until 2012, announced on last night's edition of Countdown that it was his last.

The dismissal is said to be at least indirectly related to Comcast's acquiring of NBC and the parent company's distaste for his defiance and attitude.

Sources said network brass basically paid the pundit to scram by working out an agreement in which he would get lost and continue to be paid.

MSNBC issued a vague, unemotional statement saying it ended its contract with Olbermann, who hosted the top rated show on the network.

I think, I would be cool with being fired and getting paid to not work for the next two years for $14 million..LOL

KEITH O. FANS:  BOYCOTT COMCAST-XFINITY

Perhaps the most immediate remedy to corporate media abuse of power would be a boycott of Comcast/Xfinity cable/telco services in favor of other providers. Money talks, and in a consumer economy, information consumers must vote with their wallets and pocketbooks.

So much for the vaunted bragging of FREEDOM of SPEECH in AMERIKA! Only right wing loudmouth LIARS like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beckheir, Bill O'Reilly, Lou Dobbs, and other xenophobic morons get to propagandize the American public with their opinions based on distortion, untruths, and hate fill diatribes against immigrants and other ALIENS! It is too sad to note that most Americans who actually listen to all their BS NEVER check the veracity of these toxic Goebbels clones alleged facts!

Shame on you NBC.  My favorite person on your MSNBC station was Keith.  I am just fine not watching your stations anymore.  Keith was honest and said what everyone else was thinking.  He also didn't yell at the guests like the rest of the hosts do.  I would watch FOX too if they hired Keith.  I am very disappointed.

Woohoo!  Keep 'em coming.  And for the author of this article--it's spelled "know" not "knoe".  Journalism at it's best, right?

Hey it's the guy that urinates all over himself, Keith Odorman.

Now he can lie in bed, sticking pins into Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity dolls.  What a whiny, weak, socialist pig he is.  Rich from the typical liberal crap he piles on.

WAA WAA boy

How can he sleep at night earning that much money? The average median income is $52,029? (Aug 16, 2010 ... Median household income definition and source info Median household income, 2008 , $52029 US Census)We should find out where he lives, get ACORN and other union groups on his front porch to protest a shameful income. This income must taken and redistributed to working or non-working families so they can keep their homes, feed their families and get health care.  No single individual should be paid this much money when so many have so little.

Keith was the best, not liberal or conservative specifically, just honest with the facts and correct at stating the truth. He didn't make to much money. He lives and works in AMERICA. People can get rich in America, thats actually part of the America dream and the American way of life here. Because we have poor doesn't mean no one should have wealth for being successful in our society. Successful actors and actresses can make over 20 million dollars for one movie. Top sports celebrities can make 15 to 25 million per year. Some billionaires can make 25 million avg per week. Worrying about how much money Keith makes is missing the point. Keith is a good human being who cares about America's political process, American way of life, and the American dream ! He was a successful media journalist, TV anchor, and commentator.

I'll miss your insight Keith O !

thank goodness someone came to their senses and got rid of the most vile hate-filled person in the "news" media.

what I've seen today is a large number of Huff Post members leaving to join Current Tv because firstly it has been sold to AOL and secondly because Keith Olbermann has signed up with Current TV and will broadcast from the spring. Current TV was started by Al Gore. Great coup for Current with over 200,000 members and watched by 75 million around the world.
