UPDATE Aug 6: Kelsey Grammer has just been released from the New York hospital and is returning home.

Actor Kelsey Grammer has been released from a New York hospital, his spokesman said on Tuesday, after checking in about a week ago when he was feeling faint following a recent heart attack.

"Kelsey Grammer is out of the hospital, feeling great and about to resume normal activities at home," his spokesman, Stan Rosenfield, said in a statement.

"He and his wife Camille want to thank everyone who expressed concern. They appreciated the kind words," the statement concludes.

'Frasier' star Kelsey Grammer was rushed to hospital late last night after a possible adverse reaction to the medication he has been taking since he suffered a heart attack two months ago.

Kelsey Grammer was rushed to hospital in New York yesterday (28.07.08).

The 'Frasier' star - who was hospitalised two months ago after having a heart attack - was kept in the medical centre overnight because doctors were worried about his irregular heartbeat which he has had since taking medication following the attack.

Kelsey's representative said: "He felt a little faint. The doctors think there needs to be a change in the medication, so they are going to keep him overnight to observe."

The photo was taken at the Denim and Diamond event in Bridge Hampton this summer. I was a guest that evening and covering the event for ecorazzi www.ecorazzi.com. The evening was to support a great cause, Kelsey spoke a few words and accepted an award.
