Kentucky Teens Charged with Attempted Murder on Gay Classmate
Both teens charged with attempted murder and kidnapping after they tried to push gay teen from a cliff; Ashley N. Sams and Corrine M. Schwab were bailed out of a Kentucky jail yesterday after being charged in an attack on a gay classmate Cheyenne Williams
In eastern Kentucky on Wednesday two teenage females were charged in an attack on a gay classmate. The two were released from an area jail after each posted bonds amounting to $25, 000. The Lexington Herald-Leader reported that 18-year-old Ashley N. Sams of Annville and 18-year-old Corrine M. Schwab of Sandgap both posted the bonds and have been released, while awaiting arraignment.
Both teens are charged with attempted murder and kidnapping in an attack on 18-year-old classmate Cheyenne Williams.
On Monday, Williams told police the two girls and a 17-year-old juvenile assaulted her and tried to push her over a cliff Friday at Flat Lick Falls.
The juvenile - whose name has not been released by authorities - has also been charged. Williams' mother, Dee Johnson, said the girls attacked her daughter because she is openly gay. An arraignment has been scheduled for both girls in court on Monday.

Thats an awfully small amount of bail for an attempted murder charge. It makes me think the prosecutor or judge are intending to let these violent teens walk away with a slap on the wrist.
