ISLAMABAD: Advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior, Rehman Malik Monday said the abducted Afghan ambassador embarked on a journey without prior information and security and termed it a violation of the diplomatic norms.

Talking to Geo News, the Interior Advisor said the hostage had been taken to Jamrod and the captors intended to shift him to Afghanistan or any other far away place.

The kidnapping of the Afghan ambassador is a condemnable act and after this incident the security of all the diplomatic staff has been beefed up, he said.
