Sagar Media Inc: 20 October 2010, New Delhi: His Majesty the King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan met with Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh at the latter’s residence in Race Course Road.

The two leaders discussed a whole array of bilateral issues aimed at ensuring that the profound bond between the two countries is further strengthened in the midst of regional and global change.Dr. Manmohan Singh also hosted lunch for His Majesty the King and the Bhutanese delegation. In the afternoon, His Majesty the King granted separate audiences to the foreign Secretary of India, Mrs. Nirupama Rao, Minister of External Affairs S.M Krishna and Minister of Finance Pranab Mukerjee.

 His Majesty the King of Bhutan tomorrow address the forestry exhibition to be inaugurated by His Majesty at India International Center.India International Centre (IIC) will be organizing a week long festival from 21-27 October 2010 in New Delhi, India. The theme of the festival is “Forests” and the main objective of the festival is to create awareness among the people on the importance of forests. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forest and Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs has been directed to participate in the festival.

King scheduled to deliver a special address at the Golden Jubilee celebration of the National Defence College (NDC) in New Delhi which will be attended by President Pratibha Patil.
