Kip Arnold: 'Lewd Acts' Teacher in LA Car Chase, Crash (Video)

LAUSD Teacher Kip Arnold Accused of 'Lewd Behavior' Crashes Car During Police Chase

Kip Arnold, a teacher at Southeast Middle School in the Los Angeles Unified School District was accused of "lewd behavior" with a former student. He was under investigation by the police, who say that there may be additional victims.

Police approached Kip Arnold's truck at around 12:30pm on July 10. Arnold allegedly said, "'I'm not stopping, I'm suicidal." He then drove off.

Kip Arnold led the CHP, Bell Police Dept, and Lakewood Sheriff's Dept on an hour-long freeway chase, ending up on the Pacific Coast Highway. Arnold then swerved off the road, crashing down a hillside in Palos Verdes.

Kip Arnold survived the rather spectacular crash, and was transported from the scene in an ambulance.

The "lewd acts" of which Kip Arnold is accused had happened a while ago, and no warrant had been issued for his arrest. Ty Henshaw of the Bell Police Department said that his officers planned on arresting Arnold, but not at that moment.
