Teens Arrested for Throwing Kitten in Microwave from 3rd-Story Window

Two Philadelphia teenagers are were arrested for stuffing a stray kitten into a microwave oven and then throwing the microwave out of a 3rd-story window. The microwave was never switched on. The kitten actually survived the ordeal.

The two teen boys, who recorded video footage of their actions, face misdemeanor animal cruelty charges. The kitten, whom the Pennsylvania SPCA has named Tostino, is under observation before he's made eligible for adoption.

The stray male cat, perhaps 2 to 6 months old, suffered "mostly some cuts and bruises on his face," she said. "He didn't have any broken bones."
