Kosova declares independence

Today the parliament of Kosova has declared the independence of the country from Serbia. Photos show emigrants celebrating in Lucerne, Switzerland. The Kosovarian colony in Switzerland is the second largest in Europe after Germany. Traffic in some areas of many Swiss cities came to a standstill as thousands of people joined the spontaneous parades. Many participants expressed gratefulness to the USA, the European Union and their hosting country for supporting their way to independence against virulent resistance by Serbia and Russia.
