Kostrzyn checkpoint 4

The border bridge. Germany is on the other side of the river. The buildings you see on your left were abandoned by the Red Army in 1991. Before that the bridge was closed to any traffic, I remember a metal barrier and barbed wire just where the booth stand now.
Last month I was walking along the bridge and couldn`t see any borderline as it is on the Switzerland-Liechtenstein border. As fas as I know, the border runs along the middle of the river. Road bridges on the Oder/Odra River are maintained by Poland and rail bridges by Germany so it`s hard to say where actually Poland ends and Germany begins....
