Kucinich rocks the DNC, Transcript Available
Day 2 of Democratic shmoozefest 08 took a feverish tone featuring Hillary Clinton, keynote speaker Former Governor Mark Warner and comic relief from Gov. Bill Schweitzer of Montana.
Well Clinton, Warner and Schweitzer were informative, collected and well-delivered, there were other who really lit the fire such as Vermont rebel rouser Patrick Leahy.
Senator Robert Casey JR of Pennsylvania played the role of convention arsonist noting that John McCain was not a Maverick within the Bush administration but rather a sidekick. Senator Casey had the crowd at the Pepsi Center eating out of his had when he questioned the Republican party’s goal of re-election "Four more years? How about 4 more months?"
But....it was Congressmen, Former Mayor of Cleveland and one of my personal favourites Dennis Kucinich who really stole the show on day two of the Democratic Convention.
Kucinich slammed the Bush administration, saying, "If there were an Olympics for misleading, mismanaging and misappropriating, this administration would take the gold."
Bouncing on his feet and gesturing enthusiastically with his fist, he said corporate interests had taken over the United States. But, he said, America could fight back.
"This administration can tap our phones; they can't tap our creative spirit," he said, closing his brief address with, "Up with Obama-Biden! Wake up, America! Wake up, America! Wake up, America!"
Kucinich raised the roof, lite the torch and was unfortunately stuck warming things up for heavyweights Clinton and Warner.
Final thoughts:
Day two left little for this reporter to be bitter about. I’m fired up, confident and ready for Bubba and Biden on day three. Bring it on.

mr.zoltanblack, I like this story. It's good stuff. Kucinich is one of my favorites too. Apparently he was one of the "lucky ones", only one line was allegedly edited from his speech. Visit: http://www.nowpublic.com/world/obama-tightens-grip-rags-riches-theme
