Kuwait is engulfed in a Severe Sandstorm, Visibility under 100 meters

Kuwait 11:20am GMT/2:20pm KWT - Kuwait is currently being hit by a severe sand storm. A sudden storm engulfed Kuwait twenty minutes ago. The storm is heavy, cutting visibility to under 100 meters, with high winds.

Streets are crowded with jammed traffic. Schools closed early. The airport was closed too, and all airplanes were diverted to the nearby countries. As the wind is strong. large waves are reported at the sea. The winds are so strong, many trees are fallen down.

This is the second severe sand storm that hits Kuwait this month. On the first storm, heavy short timed (lasting few minutes) rain fallen after that storm, flooding the streets. Several people were reported dead due to that storm. It is expected to have rain this evening too.
