Kyron Horman is Still Missing As Investigation Enters Fifth Day

Kyron Horman is still missing five days after he disappeared at Skyline Elementary School June 4after looking at a science fair display with his stepmom. She said she saw him walking towards his classroom, but he never attended school that day and has not been seen since.

Police are not calling Kyron's disappearance a criminal investigation at this time.

"We're not prepared to call it a criminal investigation at this point," Captain Jason Gates of the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office told reporters Tuesday, "But we are certainly prepared to call it a missing endangered child investigation."

Police have been interviewing classmates of Kyron's as well as other teachers and parents, and they are pursuing hundreds of tips they are getting through calls to the station.

"We don't have enough information to satisfy the criteria to complete an Amber Alert or issue an Amber Alert," Gates explained. "Amber Alerts are designed to find children very quickly when we have specific information."

Anyone with information about seven-year-old Kyron Horman are asked to call the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office at 503-261-2847.
