Kyron Horman is Still Missing But His Father Has Filed For Divorce From His Stepmother

Terri Moulton Horman is thought by police to be the last person to have seen seven-year-old Kyron Horman before he disappeared over three weeks ago, but now his father Kaine Horman has filed for divorce from Terri.

The papers were filed in Multnoman County Circuit Court, but it is not known how much this filing of divorce papers is related to Kyron's disappearance.

Earlier police had said this case was not a criminal investigation, but they have now described it as such. Police have undertaken a massive search and there has still been no sign of the boy.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Lt. Mary Lindstrand said Monday night her office is "not talking about personal issues going on with the Hormans."

She said Terri Horman is neither a person of interest nor a suspect.

Her father Larry Moulton is staying with his daughter and he confirmed to KPTV that Terri and Kaine's daughter, 18-month-old Kiara was staying at a different location for now. On Monday Kyron's father and his birth mother Desiree Young and her husband Tony Young released a statement to the media that did not include Terri's name.

In the statement, the three said they have been fully briefed on the investigation and support the sheriff's office.

"Any actions taken by the investigation, or by us, are based on the best interests of Kyron and Kiara and comply with the law," the statement added.

Kyron Horman went missing after visiting the science fair at Skyline Elementary on June 4. Terri said she last saw him walking towards his classroom but no one knew he was missing until the end of the school day.
