" Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s prospects in a general election within the next year took a further blow on Friday when the opposition Conservatives won a by-election victory in a parliamentary constituency that had been considered safe for the ruling Labour Party for the past 12 years. "
Prime Minister Gordon Brown was planning
a general election this fall and an election must
be held by next summer. This loss could lead
brown to delay general elections until next year
in the hope that labor's approval will rise. Unless
things change the Labor party will lose the next
elections.
