Lakers Riot around Staples Center Predicted by Police

Despite a sizeable police presence, crowds of LA Lakers fans rioted after the Lakers beat the Celtics in Game 7 to win the NBA championship. The mayhem was captured on video by witnesses and participants alike.

Cars were set ablaze, storefronts destroyed, and dozens arrested by LAPD officers in riot gear.

At 7th and Flower streets, a crowd of more than 500 people surrounded a Metro bus and numerous people attempted to pull the bus driver out through the driver's side window, Parker said. Deputies deployed tear gas and sting balls, causing the crowd to disperse. They rescued the bus driver and the occupants of the bus.

LA Weekly had released a tongue-in-cheek "riot guide", but locals seemed to take the entire concept a little too seriously.
-Yellow and gold foam finger to jab into patrolman's chest while chanting, "We're number one!"
-Wear knee pads. You'll need some protection when officers knock you on your ass and you pray for mercy.
