My local town got a visit from Seven-times Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong when he popped along for a ride in our countryside.
He wasn't alone though as he invited anyone who wanted to come by posting a message on Twitter on Monday saying "Hey Glasgow, Scotland! I'm coming your way tomorrow. Who wants to go for a bike ride?"
Over 200 people gathered, mostly on cycles awaiting Armstrong who was in the area for a U2 concert in Glasgow.
Before he set off a BBC Scotland reporter asked if he was surprised that so many people turned up and he said "Yes, It's a chance to meet lots of people. We made up our mind to come and see a show two nights ago and I said hey let's have a bike ride."
Once he arrived he spend a few mins in the trunk of a car looking for his raincoat while surrounded by a large media turnout.
Guessing the word spread quickly around cyberspace.
After 15 minutes or so the crowd set off for a ride around a very wet Gleniffer Braes.
Seven-times Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong brought Paisley to a standstill on Tuesday when hundreds of people turned up to go a bike ride with him.

Awe, missed it. A friend of mine was there and said there was a good turnout despite the rain.
