Citizens of L'Aquila taking to the streets in a remembrance demo for the victims of last April's earthquake and protesting against the way the aftermath was managed through a massive police control of the affected area and reconstruction plans that have totally excluded the affected populations. The new Aquila, they argue, must be reconstructed from below. They also protested Berlusconi's choice to move the G8 to L'Aquila, which they perceived a cynical provocation and exploitation of their tragedy.
