Obamexcuses - he didn't lose because of Altitude - he lost because his ideas don't cut it

The first in 3 presidential debates to come launches Mitt Romney into a lead and helps him shed the negative persona attributed to him by Obama's smear campaign.

As Al Gore made excuses for President Obama’s lack luster performance in the first debate with GOP candidate, Mitt Romney, polls released today show the former Massachusetts Governor ahead. 5000 feet of thin air could not explain why the President had few answers for his failure to produce jobs, curtail energy prices, or improve a sluggish economy.

President Obama's failures speak for themselves

Why has Romney been able to jump ahead of President Obama in the latest polls? Many attribute that fact to Mitt Romney’s command of the debate that again and again emphasized the failures of President Obama’s policies as the cause of the US economic crisis. Many believed that they saw a bright, positive, and witty father, businessman, and political leader engaging a dull and lecturing incumbent President.

The smoke and mirrors of Obama's slander ads melt away

Obama’s smear and negative campaign ads had depicted Romney as a stiff, out of touch capitalist, who only cared about the best interests of the rich, but for the first time the viewing audience saw something quite different. They saw the real Mitt Romney, a decent family man, an expert at job creation, and an engaging politician who knew the facts and beat the President up with them.

Even Jim Lehrer couldn't keep Obama from bungling it

Jim Lehrer of NPR had been picked to moderate the debate and was approved by liberals for the job, but there was little even veteran Jim Lehrer could do to shore up President Obama’s dismal defense of his own failing record. From the stubbornly high unemployment rate to the job killing policies pursued by Obama such as turning down the Keystone Pipeline Mitt Romney effectively pointed out where mistakes had been made.

Seeing the emperor for who he really is

The viewer began to see for the first time that without the US media to run interference for the President and pamper him with unearned advantage, without a distractive commentator helping him to disrupt his opponent, and without a teleprompter, President Obama wasn’t quick witted, convincing, or effective against a knowledgeable Mitt Romney. Obama, accustomed to preferential treatment, found himself strangely at the end of a one sided debate that he did not have answers for.

A man who enjoyed the support he didn't earn

For more than 4 years Barack Hussein Obama either as a junior Senator, Democratic Candidate for president, or as the elected executive officer of the oval office has had the advantage of a US media that have hidden his flaws, rationalized his mistakes, and kept the American public in the dark about who he really is. That all came to an abrupt halt during the first presidential debate with GOP candidate, Mitt Romney. As even many staunch liberal media supporters such as Chris Matthews admitted. For once, many of his supportive left biased reporters acknowledged that Obama had gotten his butt kicked. As they expressed their frustration and gamely admitted that the President had essentially failed, we must keep in mind just why.

  • Jim Lehrer of the Lehrer Report on PBS moderated for the most part fairly, allowing both men to answer the questions and respond to each other while getting out of the way. Lehrer after being hailed as a good choice by liberals for the moderator’s position came under attack once it was clear the President had lost as if it had been Jim Lehrer’s responsibility to save Obama from losing the debate. Unlike past moderators like George Stephanopoulos or Brian Williams who utterly pride themselves on disruptive “gotcha” moments.
  • President Obama has no major successes to run on in selling himself as a fit leader for the next 4 years. In very possible category, the President has failed to ease suffering of the nation with his policies or has created divisiveness. At times, President Obama has even made cruel and scathing remarks toward Americans as citizens of this nation suffer. Remember President Obama’s remarks to Texas Governor Rick Perry as the state battled wild fires and lost millions in property as well as the lives of firefighters and residents? Our great, fearless, leader quipped, “Governor, whose state’s on fire denying climate change” What a sense of humor.

Can you imagine what kind of really funny comments that President Obama might have had for the family of J. Christopher Stevens, the reportedly raped and murdered US Ambassador to Libya? I’ll bet he had a real good punch line for that US tragedy! Sorry folks they wouldn’t let me print that one.

The poll results you ask? Yes, right here. Gallup Poll had Romney ahead 49% to 47% over the President. Pew Research Poll gave Romney a wider lead 49% to 45%. With the former Massachusetts Governor gaining 18 points to a 47% to 47% tie with Obama over women voters. Now, we can watch liberals desperately disputing the poll results that they have used so heavily to try and convince everyone that the race is over and there’s no need to vote.
