Although you can only see the orange tip of the Solid Rocket Booster from this vantage point, the Space Shuttle Discovery is actually already on this Launch Pad (39A). This shot was taken from the rear of the Saturn V building, which is three miles away from the Launch pad. The Space Shuttle Discovery made its way from the Vehicle Assembly Building to the Launch Pad on January 14th. This pic was taken on January 26th. The Space Shuttle Discovery is scheduled to launch on February 12th.
