LAURA INGRAHAM LIES ABOUT HER VISIT TO IRAQ!
Tonight on her nationally syndicated radio show, Conservative talk show host, Laura Ingraham spent much of her time bashing the Democrats for quote, "lying about Iraq."
Tonight's irony could not have been more priceless: Not even a half-hour after her comments about the Dems, Laura went on to say she had visited Iraq for "a little under two weeks." This statement, however, is proven false by her documentation of her trip on her website. Have a look below and see who the REAL LIAR is!!

My story is 100% correct, and I stand by it. The question you raise about whether or not it belongs on this site is answered by the fact that it is still up.

Who cares about this? What kind of agenda-driven reporting is this?

This was solid reporting on my part. Very few journalist lay the facts out the way I have.

Contributors, writers, and others search the AP for legitimate stories. You know, world events, political events and so on? Your "story" is better suited for a far-left blog.

I'm glad we're reducing this to a 3rd grade level. You seem like a typical right-winger.

I'll suppose you'll be the one defending John Gibson's comments?

I can tell your story is extremely biased by the link you provided. I'm not going to click on it.

Great! Turn a blind eye to disgusting, bigoted remarks.

I noticed the stories you post here frequently bash Republicans. You seem to enjoy calling people racists or bigots. Well, let me tell you something: You, along with most Democrats, are willfully blind on this issue. It was the Republicans who abolished slavery. It was the Republican Party that supported school voucher programs, which allowed minority students the benefit of choosing what private and parochial schools to attend. These measures were widely opposed by the Democrats. It was the Republicans that nominated the first African American Supreme Court judge, Clarence Thomas.
Remember, too: The Democrats were the party of the Jim Crow laws. I could go on and on, but the point is clear.
Do some research!

BillW, you haven't addressed any of the points I've made. The red herring you've posted does not represent the Republican party of today, and furthermore, does not address my articles.
Are you denying that Laura Ingraham lied about her visit to Iraq?
Are denying that she is a racist? ( Please let me know because I can provide ample evidence to prove my charge)
Are you comfortable with John Gibson's comments?
If you are going to continue to post on my article, please address them.

"Are you denying that Laura Ingraham lied about her visit to Iraq?"
Well, Bob, it seems that the only one making this claim is you. Are we supposed to go by what you "heard" her say on her show? The truth is, Bob, I could care less. Laura Ingraham strikes me as an honorable person- you may have a different opinion of her.
As far as her being a racist, did you know that she just adopted a minority child. Seems a far cry from something a racist would do?
Gibson's comments speak volumes . I'll give you that.

I recorded what she said on her show. In fact, Laura lied about her visit to Iraq as soon as she returned. She said she was there for 8 days, when her website said otherwise. She then goes on to say she was there "a little under two weeks" on her April 9th show. How did it go from 8 days, which was a lie to begin with, to two weeks? Look at the documentation I posted. She was in Iraq for 5 days, not including travel time.
I wasn't aware of her adoption, but that makes no difference. People like Ingraham feel insecure about being alone. Have you ever heard of the Concerned Alumni of Princeton? CAP was a conservative group designed to oppose the admission of women and minorities at Princeton. Guess who was a member of this group? You guessed it, Laura Ingraham.
Still don't believe she's a racist? Okay, Read a quote from her book: '' True Americans are white, southern, Christian and Republican. Some who call themselves Republicans are actually traitors, such as Senator Olympia Snowe. The 1925 Scope Monkey Trial was an insult to the South." (Power to the People, pg 35)
Do some research about the Scope Monkey Trial.
Convinced now? How about Laura saying, "I hope they nail down the valuables" in reference to Al Sharpton's visit to the White House during Black History Month? How about her tenure at the Dartmouth review, where she was the editor and interviews with KKK members were conducted, or articles like, " This Sho Aint No Jive Bro." Ask Ingraham about the pictures of hanged African Americans in the review.
I could go on and on here. Do yourself a favor: Just accept that there is ample evidence to support my claim and stop posting. I'm getting tired of proving you wrong.
at 17:17 on May 9th, 2008
I'll take your silence as a sign of submission.
at 09:53 on May 10th, 2008
The Scopes Monkey Trial has nothing to do with racism. It was about a teacher wanting to teach the Theory of Evolution against the will of the district. The court initially ruled with the state, however, I believe the supreme court sided with the defendant's appeal.
at 10:16 on May 11th, 2008
I was aware of that. I mentioned that to illustrate her cult-like beliefs. Only someone with extreme views would go as far to say it was a disgrace to the entire South.
How about the other points I brought up? Nothing you can say to refute that, right?
at 21:21 on May 11th, 2008
Bob,
I hate to break it to you, but most people feel the same about the teaching of evolution. This country was founded on a Christian belief system- we are a Christian Nation. There is nothing extreme in her views at all.
The other points you've brought up have very little merit to them. I'm sure Laura regrets the Al Sharpton comments. I was listening to her show recently and she actually said Sharpton seems like a likeable guy.
I can't speak for her involvement in the CPA, but I know judge Alito was accused of the same thing which turned out to be false. And I don't think it's fair to hold Laura accountable for everything that was printed in the Dartmouth Review.
at 04:04 on May 12th, 2008
BillW,
You're an absolute idiot.
"we are a Christian Nation"
That Constitution thingie must drive you mad.
"True Americans are white, southern, Christian and Republican."
Do you agree with this?
at 19:44 on May 13th, 2008
"I hate to break it to you, but most people feel the same about the teaching of evolution. This country was founded on a Christian belief system- we are a Christian Nation. There is nothing extreme in her views at all."
Actually we are becoming less of a "Christian Nation." Recent studies suggest religion is becoming less important in people's lives. If you watch the movie "Inherit the Wind," you will see the level of extremism and intolerance that exists among the Christian Right. Unfortunately, this still exists among some today.
"The other points you've brought up have very little merit to them. I'm sure Laura regrets the Al Sharpton comments. I was listening to her show recently and she actually said Sharpton seems like a likeable guy."
How the hell do you guy from accusing the guy of being a thieve to saying he's a likeable guy? Her first statement is consistent with her history towards blacks. She got called out on her Sharpton comments and wants to shield her racist views. Laura is a bigoted person. She's made bigoted remarks towards other ethnic groups as well.
"And I don't think it's fair to hold Laura accountable for everything that was printed in the Dartmouth Review."
No, it's not fair- she was only the editor!

"True Americans are white, southern, Christian and Republican."
"Do you agree with this?"
Of course he does.

Guys,
Everybody has their idea of what a "True American is." I think of true americans as being working americans- people who aren't heiresses or CEO's. The working class people are what make up a majority of this country. 2 out of every 5 voters are these Christian, Southern voters.
at 19:16 on May 12th, 2008
I don't have a set-in-stone idea of a "TRUE" American, Billw. I also don't impose my belief system on others.
Live and let live is what I say. Is that American?
at 19:18 on May 12th, 2008
And I'll be perfectly up front and open about my bias: I don't like Laura Ingraham.
I figured I better be clear about that, in the spirit of full disclosure. :-)

The Nazis party considered Aryans "True Human Beings." Are you saying they were not racist? The problem with Laura Ingraham's comments is that she said that "White Americans" are what she considers "True Americans." If she had left out the white part, it wouldn't have been racist. Do you understand? A racist is someone who believes their race is superior to others.
In addition to her being racist against blacks, she also is bigoted towards the gay community.
Bill, did you ever hear of Michael Savage? Michael Savage got fired from MSNBC for wishing Aids on a caller. If you are familiar with Savage, you'll know that he frequently uses the word "sodomites" to describe gay men. Do you know where Savage got that word from? Laura Ingraham!! She popularized that slur during her witchunt days at Dartmouth. Laura used that slur to describe the gays she was surreptitiously outing in the review. According to David Brock and Vanity Fair, she secretly taped gay student meetings and then published the transcripts in the Review.
at 09:10 on May 13th, 2008
Bob,
I don't think Laura's comments were intended to be racist. I think she was mainly talking about her base. I do however see how saying true Americans are white can be seen as racist comments. I respect your point of view. Having said that, I don't think you can compare her to the Nazi Party. Hey, but that's just me!
The word sodomite was actually popularized by the bible. It's been around for thousands of years. In fact, this is part of the reason why so many in the gay community consider the bible to be agaisnt them. The bible teaches us to love all man kind.

Very few racists know they are racists. If someone makes a racist comment, I give them the benefit of the doubt. We all occasionally make a statement, comment, remark, that we don't necessarily mean. That's fine! How you can tell if someone is a racist is by looking at their history. Look at Don Imus: Imus was fired in 4/07 for a racist joke made about the Women's Rutgers Basketball Team. People were rightly offended by his racist remarks, but when people looked at his history and saw similar remarks over the span of 20 years, he was fired.
It's the same thing with Laura Ingraham. In fact, it's even worse. Laura Ingraham participated in institutional racism. Her participation in the previously mentioned CAP group- her being the editor of the racist Dartmouth Review- her on-air comments about Al Sharpton and other African Americans all are lending to institutional racism. Hence: Judging from Laura Ingraham's history, she is clearly a racist.
