Lauren Ann Freeman Death: Ryan Bowman Arrested For Manslaughter

Lauren Ann Freeman, 21, Was Struck and Killed While Crossing Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood on Wednesday 

Australian businessman Ryan Bowman has now been arrested and booked on suspicion of manslaughter after he surrendered to police on Thursday. 

According to the LA Times, Bowman is suspected of driving his Bentley on Wednesday and hitting Freeman when she crossed the street at Hammond Street; she was thrown about 50 feet in the collision. She reportedly attended a concert at the Roxy Theater in West Hollywood and on Thursday night they turned out their lights and marquee in memory of Lauren Freeman.

Bowman did not stay at the scene after Freeman was thrown, but fled in the car, which was later found abandoned in a residential neighborhood near Melrose Avenue and La Cienega Boulevard. The discovery led police to Bowman and his attorney contacted police surrendered her client. 

Police are saying that they believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
