Star Magazine Reporting The Reason Al Gore and Tipper Gore Split Up Was Because He Has Been Having An Affair With Laurie David

Al Gore and Laurie David have reportedly been having an affair for the past two years and that is the reason behind Gore's split from his wife Tipper after 40 years of marriage. Laurie David is the ex-wife of comedian and Seinfeld creator Larry David. They divorced in 2007 after there were rumors she was sleeping with the caretaker of their Martha's Vineyard home.

“Al and Laurie went from friends to lovers," an insider tells Star. "It couldn’t be avoided."

Laurie David has released a statement since news of the allegation broke, telling the Huffington Post the story is completely untrue:

"It's a total fabrication. I adore both Al and Tipper. I look at them both as family. And I have happily been in a serious relationship since my divorce."

Laurie David and Al Gore know each other because she was a producer of An Inconvenient Truth.

When Tipper and Al Gore announced their separation they said that no other parties were involved, but if these new developments are to be believed, that is not true.
