At least eight persons were reportedly killed in the US drone strikes in Pakistan's troubled South Waziristan tribal district on Tuesday.

Reports say that death toll is feared to rise.

WANA: At least eight persons were killed, while the death toll is feared to further rise in U.S. drone attacks in South Waziristan Agency (SWA).

Sources said that militants' hideouts were targeted at Sarakhora border area of South and North Waziristan and until the filing of this report eight bodies have been recovered from under the debris, while efforts were on to further dig out the bodies, if any. Several persons have also been injured in the incident.

The bodies and the injured have been shifted to the local hospital. Sources said that Taliban have besieged the area.
