Let's Dump Canada's Privacy Commissioner

Hi.

As I pointed out when this video was first posted, it does make some valid points about the processing of complaints. That said, the video does not make an accurate comparison between the volume of letters, telephone calls, inquiries and formal investigations undertaken by the different provincial and federal privacy commissioners.

I still think the video deliberately understates the work we do on national security, no-fly, nanotech, and other important issues. In fact, the video was linked on NowPublic in response to an article that spoke of our activism on behalf of keeping Canadian's personal information (fingerprits) private from government eyes.
