Elected State Assemblyman of the Selangor State government in Malaysia, Mr M Manoharan released a handwritten Press Statement from the prison where he is being detained under the Internal Security Act (ISA).

Manoharan, a lawyer, is one of the five HINDRAF leaders who were arrested and detained in the Kamunting Detention Prison in Taiping, Perak since Dec 2007.

He vowed that he ''will continue to fight all forms of discrimination and marginalisation against any community and raise public interest for justice and equality'' even though he is in prison.
