LHC Twelve Additional Judges Take Oath

ISLAMABAD: Twelve additional judges of the Lahore High Court took oath of their offices on Tuesday.

President Asif Ali Zardari yesterday appointed 12 additional judges in the LHC in the second phase of inductions in the superior judiciary.

On Sept 5, two judges were elevated to the Supreme Court and 11 additional judges were appointed in Peshawar and Balochistan high courts.
Those who took oath today include Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, Sheikh Najam ul Hassan, Mr Manzoor Ahmad Malik, Mr Asad Munir, Mr Ijaz ul Ahsan, Hafiz Abdul Rehman Ansari, Mr Tariq Javaid, Sardar Tariq Masood, Mr Nasir Saeed Sheikh, Mr Mansoor Akbar Kokab, Khawaja Imtiaz Ahmad and Mr Sagheer Ahmad Qadri.

Chief Justice LHC Justice Khawaja Sharif administered the oath in a ceremony held in LHC premises and was attended by public and legal officials and lawyers fraternity.
