I’m not sure what is a more important aspect of this coalition, the swine politicians either trying to save their ass or rape someone else’s, or the fact that, seemingly for the first time, Canadians actually care about politics other then our neighbourly brothers south of the border. Canadians caring - about Canadian issues. What is this the thirties? How can anyone have that long of an attention span? Our boring and uncharismatic scapegoats are too… Canadian for anyone with a tan or cable television to care to watch. But hell apparently frozen over. Maybe it was because of the economic issues, or maybe it was because the ’deck of cards’ was historically shuffling by itself, either way, Canadians are watching and, dear god, having opinions.

This government, once respected as a mature and, for a lack of a better word “restrained” is now subjected to the whiny complaints of the two opposition parties. I say two, referring to the Liberals and the NDP, because the Bloc Quebecois are opportunists - they complain and give thanks when it is in their favour. They shall not receive any “special treatment” from me, far unlike what proceeds in the House of Commons. But that’s another story. Back to the coalition.

If this coalition was to pass, the Conservatives would be outplayed, outmanoeuvred, and tossed out the wind to starve. Stephen Harpers battered party would become obsolete in the socialist democratic Canada the coalition wants to implement. I am sure it was planned to the nines years ago in some hidden bunker in Ottawa: three scheming opposition leaders hunched over battle plans and leather-bound copies of Marxist books.

Make no mistake, we are a two party system now. Left wingers vs. the federal conservatives. It has been like this for a time now, unofficially. But this declaration of a united coalition against Stephen harpers conservatives was the last nail in the coffin of our multi-party system. And democracy for that matter. Remember the election last month? Nothing happened, and we accepted that, democracy, after all, isn’t perfect. This coalition, on the other hand, is a slap in the face in our democracy. Where was my vote in this coalition? My opinion doesn’t matter in a liberal/NDP partnership. The only issue that matters within the left-wing elite is elimination of the competition by creating a federal monopoly over Canadians. There is no room for debating opinions in this coalition, all their opinions are the same! Yes, we now have a two party system. And the left wingers have the majority.

It was scheme worthy of a well executed bank robbery. But ill be damned if I let my right to vote be stolen from me. Governments in democracies can be run by minorities, majorities, dictators, and vegetarians - so as long as they are put into positions of power by people. The liberal/NDP conspirators have not or will not have gained a coalition through a democratic means and therefore is dangerous and treacherous. If they care not about democracy, the most valued of actions, what else will they disregard as they become the tsars of this nation? But will the mainly neutral Canadians do anything to stop this insult? All evidence points to no. Canadians need get off their couches, stop watching foreigners complain about their own problems, and prevent an injustice from happening in their own country. If we can do that then maybe this phantom revolution will be a bust. We just need to grow a pair and get out there.

Think quick .... which debate did you watch when they were on together?  Aha!   We really can't help it if theirs is more exciting, yanno.

You are right, we can't help it. American elections are more about the candidate, and less about the party. Its the opposite here. But in America, thats the way it has to be, they vote directly for the candidate, and in Canada, we vote for the party. You can connect with a candidate more deeper and more personally, than just a politcal party. Its just human nature, but we'll just have to accept won't we?
