After securing support for his government and democratic change in Bolivia, more active trade, energy cooperation and improving diplomatic relations were discussed.  President Evo Morales hailed the recent compensation deal reached between Italy and Libya over colonial rule. After visiting Libya, President Morales travelled to Iran.

Benghazi (Libya), August 31 (ABI).-  According to the Secretary of Popular Congress, Muftah Queepe, Libya ratifies its support for the revolutionary and democratic process that is being applied by Morales’ Administration in Bolivia. The Libyan authority met President Evo Morales to express his Government’s support in favour of the Bolivian President and to ratify the diplomatic relationships between both Administrations.  Queepe described Morales as a great revolutionary and defender of the Bolivian society’s most basic rights and stressed Morales’ willingness to solve the Bolivian problems.  Besides, he says Libya wants to keep a close relation with Bolivia through trade agreements and diplomatic relationships. President Morales, in turn, thanked the invitation and welcome that the Libyan Government gave him and one more time talked about his wish for strengthening the diplomatic and commercial relationships between both countries.  "In my country, out goal is to achieve the social equality", Morales said, stating that in Bolivia are taking place a historic fight since 500 years ago led by indigenous people. Furthermore, Morales expressed his satisfaction over Italy’s decision to compensate Libya for damages caused during its occupation, stating that other countries should follow that example, such as the case of Spain with Bolivia. Finally, Queepe argued that Morales represented the Bolivians nature and therefore Libya would keep supporting the change process in Bolivia because that was focused in aid of all citizens.
