Libya: Misrata shipments 'to be blocked'

NATO has accused forces loyal to the Libyan leader Col. Ghaddafi of laying mines off the the coast of the beseiged rebel held city of Misrata. A senior NATO official said the use of mine shows a complete disregard for international law. A Libyan government spokesman said he was unaware of any mine laying. He said a pardon will be granted to any rebel that surrenders in the next four days. Misrata is surroundered by Libyan government forces and relies on the port for the delivery of food and weapons.

Gaddafi's folks are speaking out of both side of their mouth as usual: On the one hand they say they will withdraw forces but on the other hand sources say they are mining the waters.
