Betty the Loan Shark, was a common fixture at Casino Parking lots, where it is said would dispense cash to fellow Asians whose luck ran out, guess Betty's gamble finally resulted in Craps!  Betty it seems had a different story for every occasion when arrested, from International Spy to Mother who would use her young children as human shield to ward of Hit Contracts when it was revealed she named names, any names in order to stave off deportation back to Asia.  Certainly shows why many in British Columbia blamed politicians for selling BC er's to Asian Crime Gangs, where past BC Governments friendship and or effectiveness at background checks of criminal immigrants was as a loose as Immigration Canada on Olestra.

All who knew her came to the same conclusion.

“It was only a matter of time,” said Asian organized-crime investigators who spoke to The Province about the woman found shot dead inside a Mercedes-Benz at a Richmond industrial complex Wednesday morning.

Her name was Betty Yan, a.k.a. Betty “the Loan Shark” Yan, a.k.a. “Big Sister” Betty, a.k.a. Betty Tung Sze Yan.

The story yesterday of the crime scene and Betty getting a silver bullet

Flashback to the year 2002: Associate of Betty is another Illegal, Lai Changxing, rumoured to be a big time Criminal wanted by China and illegally in Canada professes to be just an innocent businessman, protected by our Legal system in his defence of Who? What? Where? How? Stance of Me Innocent! was protected by the Federal Liberals who were running the country at the time in 2002.

"Back to the Future April 2009" Immigration and Refugee Board members, still collecting a taxpayer funded paycheque are still navel gazing 8 years later trying to decide if this guy is a criminal, as they  pack copious amounts of left wing Tofu up each others rectums.

Mr. Lai who will now be selling real estate in the lower mainland was recently given a work permit in Canada while awaiting a decision by a useless federal immigration board, who after 8 years are still at a standstill whether this guy is a criminal or not, and whether to deport him. Again, I reiterate, if you have money, regardless if you are a criminal, British Columbia will shake hands with the criminal element and has a place for you. Have we been SOLD OUT by our Governments? Damn Straight!

Guess how many Asian Criminal Gang Members are here illegally, have been arrested or known to police, yet still walk freely on our streets? Hundreds or illegal criminals is my factual guess.

Yep, someones taking cash in all this and getting in bed with the criminal element, one day the Truth will come out and there will be hell to pay. Meanwhile taxpayers are taking it up the Ying Yang while criminals seem to rule our land with impunity in what seems to be a Flaccid court system out of touch and reach with common sense.

Guess the solution presently is letting them kill each other off and save the taxpayers money, courts and prison expenses. Yay 2010 Olympics!  By then we should be crime free with what seems to be a murder a day around the lower mainland.

Chinese fugitive Lai Changxing has been released from custody in Vancouver. Lai and his wife were arrested last Friday after an immigration panel rejected their request for refugee status. Adjudicator Daphne Shaw Dyck says she has decided to allow their release on strict conditions. The rules include that they continue to live at a condo in Burnaby, which they can only leave during specific times and not together.

yes I have to say it was only a matter of time as well.

Do you know who found her as I heard she was found in a very obscure place at about 3am, and I found that to be most odd!

Loan sharks work late hours.  Most people don't use their "services" during daylight hours.

Thanks Eastvan, though Casino clientele are known to use her services 24 hours a day
