Death by Beheading (Life), Captivity (Liberty) and Kidnapping (Security) is the new interpretation given by Taliban to 'Every one has the right to Life, Liberty and Security of a person.' Human rights are being Violated by Taliban in the worst manner in Pakistan.

" Minorities do have the right to exist and protecting them is the duty of all ", South asians for Human Rights chairman Mr. Roger Nair reminded Pakistani Government. He appreciated the efforts of the Pakistani Government to amend the draconian blasphemy law where a convicted individual can receive capital punishment for being blasphemous to a much lesser sentance, also added" Even though it really should be abolished ; after all we are in the 21st century " said the film maker Roger Nair.

Support kept pouring in from all across canada's political and social entities, beyond party lines in  for SAHRA's appeal to the world community to try and protect the Minorities living in Pakistan. As well as to pressure the Pakistan government  to work on freeing Robin Singh who has been kidnapped by Taliban. The Taliban had earlier beheaded Jaspal singh and sent his head to the Sikh Temple in Peshawar, Paksitan last month. Two other captives Gurjinder singh and Gurjeet singh were able to escape from their captivity and told a horrifying detail of their time in captivity.Robin Singh father Bishan Dass and mother Shama in Brampton, Canada are having sleepless nights, while there is no information on their son coming through.
Gurjit singh was mistakenly shot by the Pakistan military when he approached them after walking 4 hours from captivity.
SAHRA Chair Roger Nair:
appealed to the Canadian as well as all foreign governments to work on reminding the Pakistan Government`s promise and their Moral and legal Duty of protecting their citizens especially the Minorities that consist of Christians,Sikhs and Hindus."Even though the beheading have been a very tragic incident, and needs all the condemnation we could, We should also not sway from the fact that Robin Singh is still in Taliban captivity and to get him released should be on top of everyone`s list as well as the safety of the rest of the targeted minority groups."said the film maker.

Dr. Kuldip S. Kular, MPP Bramalea-Gore-Malton:In a personal electronic letter to SAHRA Chair:

“I am deeply saddened to hear of the disappearance of Robin Singh and offer my most heartfelt condolences to his family. As a father myself, I can imagine the grief his loved ones are experiencing. I implore anyone who is able to assist in his safe return to do so and also ask that Robin and his family be kept in our thoughts."

Canadian (Conservative) MP Tim Uppal:
Speaking on a Radio Voice interview along with film maker and Human rights activist Roger Nair , MP Tim uppal condemned the killings, calling them a very sad incident as well said that he will be talking to the highest levels of canadian government in Canada and in Pakistan to put pressure on the Government of Pakistan to act upon facilitating the release of the held Sikh captives.Mr. Tim Uppal also stressed the fact that Minister of minority affairs Mr. Shahbaz Bhatti had vowed to protect the minorities in pakistan both at a SAHRA round table in May 2009 in Toronto and in Pakistan in a private meeting with Mr. Uppal in Pakistanand clearly he has not been able to deliver on his promise.Mr. Tim Uppal was the first Canadian MP to go into the region after the displacement started and visited the refugees (IDP's ) first hand

Liberal MP Gurbax Malhi in an email statement to SAHRA
"I strongly condemn this inhuman act. The ongoing human right violations that are affecting the minorities - most recently the Sikh community - in north-western Pakistan require the immediate attention of the Canadian Government. Innocent lives are senselessly taken as minorities are not provided with the protection they need against the atrocities of Taliban ..also ensure that the refugee applications from Pakistan's affected minorities are sped up. Allowing this human rights tragedy to continue is intolerable."

Brampton Lawyer Shan Padda says,"It is the legal and moral responsibility of the Government of pakistan to protect their minorities and do everything in their power to save the lives of the Sikh Captives from Taliban as well as bringing the murderers of Jaspal and Mahal Singh`s Killers to justice."

South Asians for Human Rights Association is dedicated to helping individuals and or group of individuals whose human rights have been violated
