The candle, coincidentally, happens to be one I bought years ago.
I didn't think about it when I lit it, it just happened to a candle that had already been lit before, so I used it.
The text reads:
The End of Separation
Use this candle as a reminder to bring the light of healing to your thoughts and actions. Each of the twelve candles in the Rituals collection contains a special blend of essential oils and a gemstone that will help bring about the change you want to make.
I didn't read it until after the lights were turned back on, but it's so appropriate!

Sadly, I was the only one in my street to switch off my lights (and aircon, computers, fridge, freezer and tv). My street is only short though, so I hope that perhaps others in my town did take this first symbolic baby step.
