Limbaugh-Steele Spat Spawns Mocking 'I'm Sorry Rush' Apology Site
Michael Steele issued a public apology of sorts to Rush Limbaugh on NBC's Today show saying it was silly to start a public spat with the talk radio shock-jock at a time when the GOP should be coming together. Steele was quick to point a critical finger at the Democratic party for capitalizing on the unfriendly debate between Steele and Limbaugh over who speaks for the Republican party.
Steele dismissed the spat as a "sideshow distraction."
"My point is that there are a lot of opinions out there, some come from people who are notable, some from people who are not so notable. And my job is to try to balance that. I wasn't that effective at it this week, but, you know, I've been 30 days on the job and we'll, you know, move forward," Steele said on NBC's "Today" show.
"And along the way, my opponents, Democrats, and even a few others out there, will try to mix us up and get us off track. But my goal is to stay focused on trying to get us in a direction where we can win and have something important to say to the American people.
It appears that Steele's attempt at a premptive strike against the excited backlash from Democrats was in vain and actually may have added fuel to the fire. The Democratic party has already launched a mocking website entitled "I'm Sorry Rush" built only around the "spat" between Steele abd Limbaugh.
The website pokes fun at the two high profile Republicans by inviting people to fill out a form letter apology to Rush Limbaugh filled with cheeky little inuendos. The site also features a statement from Democratic National Party leader Tim Kaine saying that Steele's apology is as good as a formal declaration of Limbaugh's de facto GOP leadership.
The Democrats haven't had this much fun since, well, Barack Obama was elected president. So naturally, they aren't going to give up their mocking of the verbal spat between Republican Party Chairman Michael Steele and conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh. Today, the Democratic National Committee fanned the flames with a statement from party boss Tim Kaine, who suggests that Steele's apology for harshly describing Limbaugh proves that Limbaugh is the leader of the GOP.
The "I'm Sorry Rush" site is already a hit with Democratic supporters and disenfranchised Republicans; something that has not escaped the notice of the GOP. Speaking to Politico.com Rush Limbaugh embraced the publicity saying that the Democrats and the Obama administration are "enabling" him to have a louder voice.
"The Administration is enabling me,” he wrote in an email to POLITICO. “They are expanding my profile, expanding my audience and expanding my influence. An ever larger number of people are now being exposed to the antidote to Obamaism: conservatism, as articulated by me. An ever larger number of people are now exposed to substantive warnings, analysis and criticism of Obama's policies and intentions, a ‘story’ I own because the [mainstream media] is largely the Obama Press Office.”
The bigger, the better, agreed Democrat James Carville. “It’s great for us, great for him, great for the press,” he said of Limbaugh. “The only people he’s not good for are the actual Republicans in Congress.”
Send your apology to Limbaugh using the I'm Sorry Rush website.

The problem is that the democrats on the left did actively want Bush to fail.
When Obama kept Gates as sec of defense, that was in total contradiction to what Obama had said repeatedly during the campaign.
What is really disgusting to me is what that lame comedian on CNN said in the first place. He said the republican party looked like the Nazi party.
This is abject racism, only now it comes from the mouth of a racist anti-racist.
We don't talk about that. We are supposed to ignore that.

the american people deserve better than these puppets who believe that their fueling the fire with cutting the republican icon rush limbaugh through their dirty little secrets and scams will soon come home to roost when plan a, b, or c, provides too little too late for too much given. it upsets me to think of how much some have given and how little others seem to have. we are becoming an America of past and it is very sad that our children and grandchildren may never experience how great and how proud Americans have been in yrs. past. in the words of the eagles "Get over it"and get on with making things work again in this country.
