Lion Attack Caught on Tape in Lviv Ukraine by US Tourists (Video)
A Vicious Circus Lion Attack Was Caught on Tape by Doug Shepherd and His Family While on Vacation in Lviv Ukraine
The lion attack took place last Saturday and footage was shown on The Early Show on Tuesday morning.
Doug Shepherd was on holiday with is family in Lviv (meaning City of Lions) when a lion attacked lion tamer Oleksie Pinko. That is when Doug turned his camera on, and caught the rest of the attack on tape; Pinko was trying to keep the lion away with a steel rod.
Doug Shepherd told CBS News via Skype, "Kids are screaming, and kids are only 10 feet away and (my family was) probably 35 feet away."
Another lion then joins in and bites Pinko on the left arm; workers finally manage to turn on the hoses and separate the lions and rescue Pinko.
Mr. Shepherd said there was only a thin net separating the lions and the trainer from the audience, most of whom were children.
"You have a handler from outside poking through the net, and then there's one inside who almost gets eaten. But the lions are after the trainer."
Pinko is currently listed to be in stable condition in hospital.
Just three weeks ago, a lion attacked a trainer at the MGM Last Vegas Resort, and that incident was also caught on video.

I hate circuses and zoos. When will people learn not to try to take the wild out of animals! Maybe now the animals are fighting back. Animals do not belong in a circus! I try to make people understand it is animal abuse not entertainment. Stop going to these shows of abuse and maybe they will stop trying to train them. The trainer got what he deserved unfortunately. They had a reason for attacking and maybe more of them will show you cant take the jungle out of them. These are wild animals not kittens! Stop using them to make money.

Hmmmmm...........What the F--- did they THINK was gonna happen? Hmm......LIONS............I think it actually serves selfish man right. You get what you deserve. You also get what you ask for. And caging up and poking things at lions is definitely ASKING FOR IT. Bet HE wont do THAT again!!! Ha Ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish those lions would have eaten Doug Shephard's children.
