Lisbeth Lyons Having Affair With John Boehner? Stark Investigates
Mike Stark From Stark Reports Has Been Investigating Whether Minority Leader John Boehner Has Been Having An Affair With Lisbeth Lyons
In this article, Stark says he began hearing whisperings of an alleged affair between the two last month and decided to look into the matter further. Lisbeth Lyons is the Vice President for Government Affairs for the American Printers Association, although Gawker says she is the VP of Government Affairs for the Printing Industries of America.
John Boehner has been vocal in the past over Mark Souder's affair with one of his staff and for telling members of his caucus to stop "using the 'party house' to entertain young Republican female lobbyists".
Stark was able to pose the question to Boehner on September 22 and videotaped his response. In the video, Boehner does not say anything when asked about Lisbeth Lyons.
Stark writes:
So far as I’m concerned, if someone asked me if I was cheating on my wife, it would be very easy for me to simply say, “Absolutely not. No truth to that whatsoever.” John Boehner couldn’t bring himself to mouth those words.
Stark then calls Lisbeth Lyons and tapes that response as well, and he is not satisfied with her answer either. She just says she has no comment.
Stark writes:
The bottom line is this: At an event John Boehner offered numerous pledges to America, he wouldn’t comment on whether or not he was keeping a fundamental pledge he made to his wife. John Boehner forced Mark Souder to resign for adultery. Shouldn’t he at least have to say what the truth is?
According to the New York Post, there is an upcoming New York Times exposé that will look at an alleged Boehner affair, but it is not known when that story will go to print.
A rep for Boehner's office said, "This is bull[bleep]. The American people oppose Washington Democrats' job killing, so their desperate liberal allies are resorting to outright lies. It's low, and it's dirty."
Lisbeth Lyons told the Post that she was shocked by the allegations and found it to be highly insulting, but did not want to comment further.

If the accusations are false, he will become a martyr... if true will his constituents care? Either way there will be no golfing for Johnny this weekend!

If true will his constituents care? No. They've got a guy down in Louisiana running for re-election that likes to wear diapers during sexual escapades. And he's ahead in the race.

No named sources + no facts + no coverage by major media outlets = slimy journalism. The late Senator Josephy McCarthy would be proud!

Think about it. No named sources, no facts, no coverage by major media outlets. Seems to be an attempt to manipulate public opinion and grandstand (at the expense of a female lobbyist's career and reputation). The late Senator Joseph McCarthy would be proud!

I'm glad these things are coming up. Even if allegations are false, it will still help Democrats this November. Hopefully this story will stay popular.

So you are saying; even if this is a lie and you ruin the reputations of two innocent people and this helps your party's goals; this is a good thing. Typical dimocrap values. This is possibly why we have the worse administration in the history of the United States now encamped in the White House. I can see November and it really looks gloomy for the dims.

Your side doesn't seem to mind continuing the lies that the president isn't a citizen or a Christian as long as it helps YOUR side. Why take offense at this?

They say that Newt Gingrich told a female staffer that she and he had not had sex because it was, just like with Clinton, only oral gratification. Now, we see Johnny Morals Boehner refusing to deny an affair. When will the right wing guys learn to keep their impulses under control?

It will at least put a spotlight on the alleged affair, and hopefully C Street, and the "Family" too. If it was a blogger who exposed Boner, how can Dems be blamed? (but they WILL be blamed!) Hell, they've had Rove concocting dirty tricks for them for years now, and they act so sanctimonious; it is nice to see the heat turned up on them! Anyway, the more self-righteous and pious the person, the more dirty secrets they hide! Rove has confessed to being the Devil, but Boner is still trying to keep up the facade of holiness! (but doesn't he have such a mean, ugly ass face?) I think that polygraph tests are waaaay under used; this could be cleared up so quickly! (or at least help with a preponderance of evidence!)

Couldn't agree more with the sanctamony commentary. Boehner has 3 ethics violations, from which nothing has occured in more than a decade. Boehner's priorities have been out-of-district for the majority of his ten terms in office. People here will say he started out strong but in recent years "has gone off the deep end", and this probable affair is the latest evidence of it. Boehner likes being in front of the cameras but only when he can control the questions. This is probably true and voters should know.
